Dear Morton Grove School District 70 Community,
Welcome to Park View School! To students and parents who are new to Park View, we extend a warm welcome to you. We hope that you will quickly feel at home and become involved in the many activities of our school through the PTO and your child’s classroom. To our returning families, we feel fortunate to welcome you back to another exciting school year!
During my previous five years as the principal of Park View School I had the pleasure of witnessing firsthand the many exceptional teachers and staff members who are energetic, passionate, and dedicated to the success of all students. And now, as the superintendent of Morton Grove SD 70, I am proud of our district’s continued growth and educational excellence as well as our school’s long standing tradition of being a place for Morton Grove residents to come together to celebrate community and helping children to go from being students to scholars.
The next year will undoubtedly bring successes as well as untold challenges for our district. Yet I eagerly add my confidence to the other stakeholders in this organization that we will meet those challenges and seize those opportunities, knowing we have the right people and partnerships in place to fulfill our promise. To that end, let’s begin our journey by setting our students on a path focusing not on “doing things right,” but “doing the right things” to grow and develop. This attention on chasing excellence rather than perfection can help our young scholars realize that excellence is limitless and progressive. You can always strive for greater and greater excellence while perfection can never be attained. Together, we must:
Be BETTER this year than last year
Be BETTER this month than last month
Be BETTER this week than last week
Be BETTER today than yesterday
I am truly humbled by this opportunity to continue this journey with you by serving as superintendent of Morton Grove SD 70 and supporting this wonderful community. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. I welcome the opportunity to help your family and it is my sincere wish that together we may help our students chase excellence.
