Superintendent's Welcome

Dear Park View Community,

Over thirty years ago, I began my career as a professional educator. While it was a long time ago, I clearly remember attending my first day of work at  “new teacher orientation” eager to begin my career.   That career has taken me to places and experiences that I never imagined were possible.  I had no plans or ambitions to even become an administrator let alone a superintendent.  I was just a passionate, dedicated educator who loved my work and making a positive difference for my students. That passion led to opportunities being offered in school leadership positions and the rest is well, history.

During my 7 years in District 70, I have had the opportunity to work with some of the best and hardest working teachers and staff that I have ever worked with.  Further, I have had the support of a Board of Education that understands its role in making policy and long term financial decisions.  I have been able to build a team of administrators that is first rate and has made the district a better place for students and staff to learn and grow together.  Lastly, but most importantly, my life has been enriched by the many wonderful students who have passed through these hallways over the last several years and I am extremely grateful.

I am proud of the work I have done here and I know the district is in a better place from when I arrived 7 years ago.  While there is still much work ahead this school year, I know the year will go quickly and I will take the time to relish the moments I have with our beloved students and our wonderful community.  With Mr. Condon taking over as Superintendent at the start of the 23-24 school year, I am confident that the district will continue to grow in a positive direction.

The artist Banksy once said,  “When the time comes to leave, just walk away quietly and don’t make any fuss”--that really fits with my style. I am looking forward to a peaceful and smooth transition that prioritizes excellence for all students at Park View school.

Sincerely,

Brad W. Voehringer, Ed.S.

Superintendent
