In 2015, Illinois passed Ann Maries’s Law which requires all school districts to post on its website recommended guidelines and educational materials for professional educator training and recommended resources and age-appropriate educational materials on youth suicide awareness and prevention as well as adopt an age-appropriate youth suicide awareness and prevention policy. District 70 has revised its policy to include SB1793.
