PEP Program Vision
Provide an in-depth, complex curriculum aligned with common core that enriches and challenges students.
Park View utilizes a a comprehensive, consistent, data-driven PEP eligibility matrix to determine placement in the program.
PEP Program Goals
To meet the needs of consistently high performing students in a replacement program setting during the Reading/LA and Math blocks
To honor a consistent, qualifying matrix for Reading/LA and Math that identifies candidates for the PEP program
To differentiate for learners within the PEP program to ensure that each child is challenged
To ensure students in PEP have the student skills necessary to be successful in the future: study skills, time-management, note-taking, prioritization, perseverance, productive response to failure or setbacks
To provide fluid consultation and collaboration between general education and PEP staff so that students needs are being met throughout their school day in all grades
To foster leadership skills that encourage goal oriented collaboration and communication
To educate the whole child, inclusive of the social-emotional needs of students that exhibit characteristics of a gifted child
ALL PEP ACCEPTANCE LETTERS HAVE BEEN MAILED TO FAMILIES
PEP APPEALS ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED FOR THE 16-17 SCHOOL YEAR
